| "Thermapolae" I painted this for my dad as a birthday present. It took me six months to complete. As with all of the paintings on this page, I used oils and alkyds on ivorine using a centuries-old technique of painting thin layers with an isolating glaze between layers. This painting probably has about 30 layers. I couldn't have done any of these without my amazing painting teacher, Joan Willies. |
